Nordstrom announces new human rights goals

In time for Worldwide Ladies's Day, Nordtrom has introduced new commitments it hopes to realize by 2025 for human rights and ladies's empowerment.

Nordstrom will produce 90 % of Nordstrom Made merchandise in factories that spend money on ladies's empowerment and ensure 100 % of Nordstrom Made strategic suppliers pay a dwelling wage to their manufacturing unit staff by 2024. THe firm will even continue to spend money on organizations that help ladies's empowerment to create trainings and assets within our international supply chain.

The retailer acknowledges that 2omen make up nearly all of its staff, customer base and the workers in its supply chain.

"Nordstrom is dedicated to offering our clients a choice of products they will be ok with because they know they're made in a accountable approach. That commitment starts with our personal private-label brands," Jennifer Jackson Brown, president of Nordstrom Product Group, stated in a press release.
